#1 Break the ground, plant the seed.
What you get is what you need.
It comes to you but you must wait.
Don’t worry, it can’t be late.

#2 Seasons come, seasons go.
What you reach is what you sew.
It’s your earth below your feet.
What you are is what you seek.

[D][C][D]%][D][C][B][E]
Something new that’s so old.
Within your reach for you to hold.
So much there for you to find.
All limitations will fall behind.

[A][G][A]%][A][G][F#m][%]
So take my word, you will find.
Things will grow inside your mind.
It’s good work and it’s fun.
What you seek is what you become.

note:
Garden Song was written 10 years ago on the bass guitar.
I’ve been a gardener for many years and the lyrics were composed while watching the garden grow. Songs change as they age. When I came up with the big chord intro, I knew I wanted it to be the first song on my next album.
This song lends itself well to a prolonged space jam. Come see it live.
