I Know Love

I know love and love knows me too. I met love soon after I met you.
It’s more than a feeling but it feels so fine. It crept in my heart now it fills my mind. I know love and I know it so well. Once I was blind but now I can see. That’s what your love has done for me.

When I first met love I didn’t know it could last. The love I’d known had come and gone so fast. The fire’d burn bright and then the ashes grow cold and I’d push away what I once had to hold. When I first met love, I just couldn’t handle it. But when I was ready you came along. You gave me the words to sing in this song. Now I have a love and I won’t let go.

There’s love in the closet. There’s love on the hill. If you haven’t tried it,
I’m sure that you will. There’s love waiting for you. It’s the only true wealth,
but you can’t love another till you love yourself. So don’t criticize when you can’t understand and try to hold onto love just as long as you can.

So when I say love I know what I’m talking about. In a crowd it’s a whisper but in silence a shout. In the school of love, you’ve given me, all I need for my masters degree.
